Gustav Adolf Schmitt winery was founded in 1648 in the famous town of Nierstein on the Rhine. Exporting for nearly 200 years, Schmitt is among the pioneers of German wine exporters to overseas markets. In addition to the award wining wines produced from some of the best vineyards around Nierstein, Schmitt has always offered a wide range of well known German wines. Since 2004, GA Schmitt is a daughter company of Bernkastel-Kues based Moselland EG and their wines are sold in more than ten countries for their excellent quality at all price points.
